Passport and Visa
Usually all foreign visitors must have a valid passport. The visa policy of Hungary is liberal. For visits shorter than 90 days, no visa is required for citizens of most European countries, the United States, Japan and Israel. Most European citizens can visit Hungary with their domestic identity card.
Hungary is a member of EU and of the Schengen Agreement.

Those who experience any trouble in getting visa to Hungary should not hesitate to contact the conference secretariat immediately.
Please bear in mind that although letters notifying that attendees’ abstracts have been accepted may suffice, sometimes a more personalized letter is needed. Should a letter of invitation be required, please send a request form us as soon as possible including the following information: name, date of birth, and passport number, name of organization you belong to, information on transportation and accommodation, information on how transportation, accommodation and local expenses are to be funded.
The organizer cannot accept responsibility for accidents that might occur in connection with the IAGA Scientific Assembly. Delegates are encouraged to purchase travel insurance before leaving their home country
