2009 is the last year of the IGY+50 "anniversary years": the International Year of Planet Earth 2007-2009 (www.yearofplanetearth.org), an UN year in 2008, the International Polar Year (the fourth polar year: the third one was a part of the IGY itself, www.ipy.org), the International Heliophysical Year (www.ihy2007.org), and the Electronic Geophysical Year (www.egy.org), realized by IAGA. www.foldev.hu, the Hungarian website of International Year of Planet Earth contains downloadable brochures in Hungarian language about not only IYPE themes, but also about the other "international years":
