11th IAGA Scientific Assembly – IAGA 2009
EXHIBITION OPPORTUNITIES INVITATION

The schedule of the 11th Scientific Assembly is as follows. August 23 (Sunday): registration and installation day, August 24-29 (Monday-Saturday): six full working days, August 30 (Sunday): field trip and departure day.

IAGA is the member association of International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG). It holds its scientific assemblies in every fourth year (10th: Toulouse 2005, 9th: Hanoi 2001, 8th: Uppsala 1997, 7th: Buenos Aires 1993, etc.), halving the four-year internal between IUGG general assemblies (24th: Perugia 2007, 23th: Sapporo 2003, 22th: Birmingham 1999, 21th: Boulder 1995, etc.). IAGA is far the largest component of IUGG. Instead of former two-weeks long IAGA scientific assemblies (held usually in the middle of summer), in Sopron we shall have a one-week long assembly to be held in the end of Summer. Therefore, and due the easy access to Sopron, we expect about one thousand participants from about 60 countries. Central and Eastern Europe are expected to be especially well represented.

The Assembly will be held in the newly forming “Sopron Downtown Convention District”.

EXHIBITION OPPORTUNITIES As an integral part of IAGA 11th Scientific Assembly an indoor exhibition will be organized at the first floor of the Liszt Ferenc Conference and Culture Centre (LFCCC), next to the coffee break area and three session rooms. Tea and coffee will be served within the exhibition area, thus ensuring maximum contact between exhibitors and delegates.

Each exhibiting company/organization will receive a listing and brief description of your company’s services and products in the Program Book.

Each exhibiting company/organization will receive acknowledgement in all printed assembly materials including the Final Program and on signage prominently displayed at the registration area.

Each exhibiting company/organization will receive one (1) complimentary Full Registration.

Booth Exhibit Space

You are invited to display your services, technology, products at following display spaces with back and side draping, 2 chairs, one desk, wastepaper basket, AC 230 V, WiFi internet access.

Indoor Exhibition (booth size)

4 m2: 1200 € (including full registration)
8 m2: 2000 € (including full registration)
12 m2: 2800 € (including full registration)
16 m2: 3600 € (including full registration)

All prices regarding exhibition and sponsorship include 20 % V.A.T.

There is a physical possibility for outdoor exhibitions, too. (It should be discussed with the LOC.)

The Exhibition area is open between 8:00-19:00
The session halls are in LFCCC and in nearby buildings.
The poster sessions will be held in nearby buildings (less than 5 min walking distance from LFCCC).
